This chapter checks whether the organisation is ready before it starts designing, promoting or hosting an ESC project. It focuses on five foundations: the real need behind the project, internal responsibility, legal safety, programme understanding and Quality Label readiness. The aim is to make sure that the organisation is not only “eligible” to host ESC activities, but actually prepared to offer a safe, meaningful, inclusive and well-supported volunteering experience.
