NaturKultur e.V. is a youth association that was founded in North-West Germany and is now based in Bremen, Wiefelstede/Oldenburg and Osterholz-Scharmbeck. The name combines two ideas: nature (the physical world with living things, land and oceans) and culture (socially transmitted behaviour, arts, beliefs, institutions and products of human creation). We aim to create synergy between the two.
Our aims
- Creating and providing international mobility opportunities for young people in Germany
- Supporting young people and organisations to host or send participants across Europe and globally
- Empowering young people to become civically engaged in their local communities
- Developing community-based initiatives that address local societal issues
- Promoting tolerance, diversity and cross-cultural understanding
Development of young people
We offer a platform where young people can positively influence and change the world around them. Special emphasis is put on including young people with fewer opportunities, such as young people with disabilities, those who live in rural areas, belong to ethnic minorities, are refugees or have learning difficulties.
Environment and sustainability
We care about our ecological footprint and promote sustainable practices, from waste management to resource efficiency.
Healthy lifestyle
Nutrition, physical activity and emotional and mental wellbeing are topics we keep learning about and sharing.
Human rights
We advocate for gender equality, peaceful conflict resolution, the integration of refugees and freedom of expression.
Culture and diversity
All of our activities take place in an international context, because multiculturalism enriches communities and fosters open-mindedness.
